ARE THESE BUILDINGS GUARANTEED DRY ? Workgreat guarantee all buildings to be bone dry from rain provided that we assemble them.
DO YOU EXPECT ME TO PAY FOR SOMETHING BEFORE I GET IT ? Here at workgreat we take a deposit and the balance is due when you see the building up done and finished. We normally take visas through electronic transfer on site.
DELIVERY AREAS.
We can send garden buildings anywhere within the United Kingdom by carrier but we much prefer to deliver or deliver and assemble our buildings ourselves, this way we are assured that the building is fit perfect. Our normal delivery areas are :-
LANCASHIRE, CUMBRIA, GREATER MANCHESTER AND CHESHIRE.
Locally that would be :-
Blackburn, Accrington,Darwen, Oswaldtwistle, Rishton, Gt Harwood, Whalley, Clitheroe, Sawley, Chatburn, Rawtenstall and the valleys Water, Bacup etc. Ramsbottom, Rochdale, Bolton, Preston, Garstang, Oakenclough, Blackpool, Southport, Leyland, Chorley, Skipton, Haslingden and Helshore, Charnock Richard, Wigan, St Annes, Lancaster.
We have a small extra charge for Cumbria and the lake District, Greater Manchester, Manchester, and Cheshire or Liverpool.
If we can get to your home do our job and get back in one day then we are most happy to take your order, all other orders will be 'on carrier only' and would be delivery only.

The owners of Workgreat have worked in the timber industry for over 30 years and we firmly believe in the perpetuation of the forest industry. Did you know that the United Kingdom have the largest man made softwood forests in Europe ?.
When a softwood tree reaches maturity ( about 30 years ) it gives out half the oxygen that it does when it is growing. For this reason sustained managed forestation is not only necessary but vital to the bell being of us all.
Similarly we firmly believe that the worlds wholesale de forestation of the great hardwood forests is perhaps one of the worst acts of violence mankind is inflicting on this fragile small world - further that Europe should ban completely the importation of hardwoods. To harvest or burn an area the size of the U.K each year is absolutely criminal. Timber is a natural product that should be looked after wisely.
PLEASE DO NOT BUY HARDWOODS PRODUCTS LIKE GARDEN FURNITURE YOU ARE ONLY ADDING TO THE PROBLEM.
We recommend the use of Sikkens or Sadolin extra when you come to treat your building, please do not use water based treatments as they are often no more than colour in a can with added wax.
All buildings manufactured by Workgreat Ltd are made to the highest of standards, we purchase the best possible materials for each and every job however we must point out that Workgreat Ltd cannot be responsible for the 'natural movement of timber' i.e warping, twisting, shrinking, expanding or the occasional knot falling out.
Timber is not man made and sometimes has a 'mind of it's own' Quality Kiln Dried timber like we use has had a great deal of the moisture removed so it moves far less slowly than non kiln dried timber but it does move.
All timber we purchase comes to us in metric nominal sizes so when we say that 3" x 2" timber is used it will actually be 75mm x 50mm nominal please ask for samples of the timber we will use we are always pleased to send them out.
All buildings are shown in Imperial sizes for ease but they are made in metric the easy way to work this out is to knock of about 1/4" per foot so a 12' x 6' building
would come as 3660 x 1830 mm finish size of building.
We ourselves do not recommend Tanalised timber, lots of shed firms now use this product without understanding or reading the guarantee - TANALISED TIMBER IS GUARANTEED ROT FREE FOR 30 YEARS IF YOU DON'T CUT IT , SCREW IT OR NAIL IT !! MAKING IT ABSOLUTELY USELESS FOR SHEDS PLEASE NOTE that if you buy a tanalised shed expecting it to last 30 years - you must be off your trolley!
The guarantee is null and void when nailed, in fact tanalised timber rots the nails twice as quickly so your shed will fall apart quite quickly.
THE ANSWER IS USE GOOD QUALITY KILN DRY TIMBER AND TREAT REGULARLY WITH A QUALITY TREATMENT LIKE SIKKENS OR SADOLIN
General Maintenance
Treat within six months of purchase with Sikkens or Sadolin. Brush any leaves off the roof and do not stack anything against the outside as this attracts moisture.
BUILDING DEPOSITS
We will send you a simple sketch of your building and confirmation of your deposit once you have confirmed that the drawing is correct then your deposit is non refundable. We set a mutually agreed date to deliver and assemble your building, we will remind you of our impending delivery a few days before, if for any reason we get to a site and find the customer or a responsible person not available to show us where the building is to be sited and to pay the balance we will not assemble the building and we will then charge for re delivery to your home / premises.
All BUILDINGS MUST BE PAID FOR IN FULL BY THE TIME OUR STAFF LEAVE YOUR PREMISES UNTIL SUCH TIMES THE BUILDINGS MANUFACTURED BY WORKGREAT LTD ARE OWNED BY WORKGREAT LTD.
